Dear Mr Eggen,
I am disturbed to see that your ministry of Education continues to threaten to close many private schools with in Alberta. In the name of providing a "safe and caring school" you are discriminating *heavily* against Christians, and possibly other groups.
As is noted by Theresa Ng, "we condemn the actions of the Alberta government to use public purse strings and threats of closure as a means of coercion wielded against thousands of Alberta families who stand to lose the schools in which their children are thriving."
I agree. Thousands of Albertans agree. But it doesn't matter what the majority believes, it matters what is true. The truth is that private Christian schools in Alberta do offer a safe and caring environment without any tips from your office, Mr Eggen. You need to allow for diversity and leave these schools alone.
