A Cup of Kindness...

Dear Mr Eggen,
   Hopefully you are having a lovely and peaceful Christmas season.  As we traditionally attribute to Robert Burns: "We'll take a cup of kindness yet, for auld lang syne." I like the sentiment expressed here; may this new year of 2018 be filled with kindness!  I hope that many show it to you, and that you show it to many. 
   Perhaps you are in goal-setting mode.  As you plan and consider what needs to be done by your ministry of education, please know that we are praying for you.  The Catholic schools, the private Christian schools and the homeschoolers with faith in God are all rooting for you.  We need you to come through for us.  Mostly that means to allow us the freedom [that we own through the Canadian constitution] to teach as we know best -- according to the principles of our faith in God.  We can be trusted.  We want the very best for our children, we care about them more than any ministry of education ever could.  So thank you for the care that you do show, but don't be shy to trust us.
